About this app

3Duo Clock is an iPhone and iPad clock app provided by Doui Lab. No account registration is required.

Face data: what is accessed and why

Face tracking is optional and starts only when you select Start face tracking and allow camera access. On supported devices, Apple ARKit and TrueDepth process the front camera and depth information on your device. The app reads the tracked face pose and left and right eye positions to calculate the eye midpoint relative to the camera and screen, distance to the camera, perpendicular distance from the screen, and estimated separation between the eye centers. It also reads camera calibration information and device motion. When native tracking is unavailable, the bundled face detector processes front-camera images and facial landmarks locally to estimate the viewpoint.

These values are used only to adjust the 3D clock scene to your viewing position and to show adjustment diagnostics. They are not used to identify or authenticate you, create a face profile, infer sensitive characteristics, train models, or perform advertising, marketing, or analytics. The app does not record camera video, depth maps, face meshes, or facial expressions.

Face data: storage, retention, and stopping

Live face and eye readings and viewing calculations are held in temporary memory on your device, not written to app files, databases, saved settings, or a server. Readings are replaced during tracking; a last viewpoint or diagnostic reading may remain in memory until it is replaced or the app process ends. There is no persistent face-data history to delete. Saved display settings and device-tilt calibration do not contain captured face or eye measurements.

Select Stop face tracking to stop camera access. Tracking also stops when the app goes into the background and does not restart automatically. You can revoke camera access in iOS Settings and continue using the clock without it. Ending the app process releases its temporary readings. Deleting the app removes its local saved settings and imported files. If you explicitly copy diagnostic text, the separate copy is handled as described below.

Face data: sharing and optional diagnostic copies

The app does not upload face data to Doui Lab, Apple, Google, or any other third party. Face and eye readings, camera images, and device-motion values are never passed to advertising or analytics services. There is no cloud face-data storage or automatic face-data synchronization.

If you choose a Copy button in the adjustment settings, the text can include the current eye coordinates, distances, estimated eye-center separation, and projection calculations. This places text on the system clipboard; it does not send it to us. Clipboard retention and any cross-device clipboard behavior follow your OS settings. You can replace the clipboard content by copying other text. Only if you separately paste and send that text to support do we receive it, through our support email service, to investigate your display or tracking issue. Such messages are kept in our support mailbox only for as long as needed to handle the request; you can request deletion at support@doui-lab.com. We do not sell these readings, use them for advertising or profiling, or share them with advertising partners. Copies you send or save elsewhere are controlled by you and those services.

Information stored on your device

Display, language, and advertising privacy settings, selected images and 3D models, your RSS feed URL and downloaded headlines are stored locally. Imported images and models are not sent to Doui Lab or advertising services. You can remove imported assets in Settings. Deleting the app removes its local data; OS backups follow your Apple settings.

News and external links

When news is enabled, the app connects to your selected RSS or Atom source over HTTPS. That source receives ordinary connection information such as your IP address. Links to articles, model sources or support pages are subject to the destination’s privacy policy. Headlines belong to their respective publishers.

Advertising

The app uses Google AdMob banner ads for up to 30 seconds about every 3 minutes while clock controls are hidden. Google consent forms appear where required, and ads follow the resulting privacy choices. When Settings → App → Ad privacy choices is available, use it to change or withdraw your regional choices. Ads pause if the consent check fails.

Google and its advertising partners may process IP addresses and approximate location inferred from them, device and app information, ad impressions and interactions, and performance or diagnostic information for ad delivery, measurement and fraud prevention. We configure limited ads with personalization disabled, do not request IDFA access, and disable publisher first-party ID. Cookies or local storage may be used for fraud prevention. Camera, face, eye, motion, imported image and model data, and RSS content are never provided to advertising services. Even if Google's standard form offers personalization choices, this app does not use personalized ads.

If you declined the app's separate ad data permission in an earlier version, ads remain paused. Selecting Resume ads in Settings starts the standard Google consent flow. No purchase is needed while that previous choice keeps ads paused.

Information received by Google is retained and deleted under its privacy policy and data retention policy. Changing privacy choices does not automatically delete information already processed, and requests in progress may finish. For deletion or privacy requests, contact Google through its privacy resources or Doui Lab at the address below.

In-app purchases

A one-time Apple in-app purchase removes all ads. Apple handles payment; Doui Lab does not receive your card number. The app verifies signed purchase information through StoreKit to apply the entitlement and does not send it to a Doui Lab server. Use Restore purchases with the same Apple Account. Apple’s policies govern its purchase and refund records.

Support and diagnostics

If you contact us, we use your email address and message to respond and investigate. We receive in-app diagnostic information only when you choose to copy and share it. Ad report emails include your written description, the ad response ID, and the app version. They are sent only when you choose Send and contain no face or camera information. Depending on your Apple settings, we may review crash and performance information supplied by Apple. Support messages are retained as needed to resolve your request. Contact us below to discuss deletion.
